This all natural homemade gatorade recipe is the perfect way to hydrate in the summertime. Made with all natural ingredients like fruit, juice, salt and sugar, it is full of electrolytes that are easily absorbed into the body and without any of the artifical ingredients found in store-bought electrolyte drinks. We spend a lot of time working out in the heat during the summertime, and a delicious glass of this refreshing gatorade is always appreciated by the whole family.
Squeeze the juice from some fresh lemons and add to the gallon jar, or add grape juice or whatever kind of juice you have.
Add the coconut water, sugar, and salt.
Stir or shake vigorously until sugar and salt are dissolved.
In a blender or a food processor, add fresh or frozen fruit and blend until smooth.
Add blended fruit to the gallon jar along with some ice cubes and then fill to the top with cold water.
Stir well and serve over ice.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Can also be frozen for up to six months.

Fresh lemon juice makes this drink super delicious and helps the body to hydrate. If you don't have fresh lemon juice, just use whatever kind of juice you have. Avoid using chlorinated water. Well water or filtered water are best.If you don't have the exact amount of ingredients, make the gatorade anyway, it will still be delicious.The ingredients may settle a bit in the refrigerator, so just shake it up before drinking.
