Creamy Grape Salad – Easy Recipe

This creamy grape salad has a sweet cream cheese sauce that is tossed with fresh grapes to make a beautiful and delicious summer salad. We served this grape salad at our wedding and it has always been one of my favorites. I like to make it every summer with our homegrown grapes, or anytime grapes are on sale at the grocery store. This salad is a favorite with kids, so it’s great for summertime BBQ’s and picnics.
It’s as simple as mixing up a few ingredients for the sauce and pouring it over grapes. The salad can be made ahead of time and refrigerated, making it the perfect side dish for camping, or any summertime cookout.

How to Make This Creamy Grape Salad Recipe
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, sugar and vanilla extract and mix well. Make sure the cream cheese isn’t lumpy and is well incorporated with the sour cream.

De-stem the grapes and put them in a large bowl with a lid.

Add the cream cheese dressing and mix gently.

Chill in refrigerator until ready to serve.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Tips
- Mix up the creamy dressing ingredients and then pour it over the grapes, so that all of the cream cheese mixture is well mixed.
- I like to use a mix of red and green grapes to make the salad look pretty, or our own homegrown grapes when they are in season.
- Use homemade vanilla yogurt in place of sour cream. It makes a less tangy dressing and is delicious.
- Make sure your cream cheese is room temperature so it’s soft and easy to incorporate with the sour cream.
- Add in other fruit like strawberries, blueberries and raspberries to make a creamy fruit salad.
