Turkey and Swiss Hawaiian Roll Sourdough Sliders

These delicious sliders are made with layers of sliced turkey and melted swiss cheese tucked inside soft, slightly sweet Hawaiian rolls topped with a butter glaze. Baked just until the cheese is melted and the rolls are warm and golden, these sliders are simple, cozy, and great for sharing at gatherings like game day, potlucks, or for an easy weeknight meal.

How to Make Turkey and Swiss Sourdough Sliders

Make my soft hawaiian rolls, or purchase hawaiian rolls from the grocery store.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 

Gently remove the hawaiian rolls from the pan or tray.

Cut the rolls in half, leaving the tops and bottoms of the rolls connected (see video).

Place the bottom buns in a baking dish.

Layer meat and cheese slices on top of the buns in the pan.

Place the top buns over the meat and cheese layer.

Mix up the melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, and drizzle over the tops of the rolls.

You can also sprinkle them with poppy seeds if desired

Place the rolls in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and enjoy!

You can store the leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week, though I'm sure they won't last that long.

Tips

  • You can buy your slider buns from the store, but I recommend making my Hawaiian roll recipe.
  • Try making a honey mustard to drizzle over the top.
  • Try these different slider filling ideas:
    • Pizza sliders - pizza sauce, sausage & mozzarella
    • Cheeseburger sliders - ground beef, cheese, ketchup, mustard and pickles
    • Chicken alfredo sliders - chicken with alfredo sauce
    • Philly cheesesteak sliders - thinly sliced steak, onions, peppers, and cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 pan sourdough hawaiian rolls, or 2 packages of storebought hawaiian rolls
  • 1 pound smoked turkey slices
  • 12 slices swiss cheese
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds or sesame seeds optional
